Between 3 and 6 matches, best first — never a catalog. Each one comes with what to put in it, how often it needs a trim, how much work it is day to day, and what you give up by choosing it.
Named, not described
What we store
Nothing leaves this device.
There is no backend here. No database, no account, no analytics, no tracking pixel. The face model is downloaded to your browser and the measuring happens in it.
- Your photo
- Held in memory while it is measured, then dropped. It is never uploaded and never written to storage. The only copy that survives is one you download yourself.
- Your answers
- Face shape, the three hair answers and any cuts you save are kept in this browser's local storage so the page remembers you. Clearing site data removes them.
- Everything else
- Nothing. There is a button at the end of the results that wipes what is stored, and it is the only copy in existence.
Questions
Before you start.
- Does my photo get uploaded?
- No. The face model runs in your browser and the image never leaves the device. There is no server to send it to.
- Do I need an account?
- There are no accounts. Nothing identifies you, and nothing is emailed to you.
- What if the camera will not work?
- Pick your face shape from the list instead. The matches are scored exactly the same way — the photo path is a convenience, not a requirement.
- Will my barber know these names?
- That is the whole point of the list. Every cut is one you can say out loud in a chair — taper fade, textured crop, two block — rather than a picture you have to show.
